In other words:

  • Linguistic Methods runs during the first half of term;
  • Introduction to Theories and Methodologies of Literary Criticism runs during the whole term;
  • ELLT III  runs during the whole term;
  • The essay module runs during the second half of term.

We hope you engage in inspiring, interesting, and challenging discussions with your teachers and fellow students. As with all courses at Dalarna University, this course has a strong foundation in theory and research.

An important feature in the design of the course is that it connects theory with practice. For example, during the first half of term, you will study research methods in Linguistics and theory in Literature; these will be the foundations for the essay module, which you will study in the second half of term.

We view attendance and participation as important components of the course: Attending lessons and participating in all course activities are crucial ways to develop your knowledge and skills in this course.
