Welcome to "Education and Change in African Societies (50%, Day, Normal, Falun, round 1) - HT26" at Dalarna University

The lessons in this course will be taught at Campus Falun. Recorded material will sometimes be made available on our learning platform.

It is intended primarily for students from African studies programme but also open to all of you who are interested in educational issues in African societies.
Upon completion of the course, you should be able to:

• demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental conditions for educational policy and for the role of education in the development of African societies

• explain and discuss issues of educational policy with particular relevance to conditions in Africa

• analyse the relationships between global processes and social change in African societies.

We hope you engage in inspiring, interesting, and challenging discussions with your teachers and fellow students.
