Welcome to English l for Teacher Education Students at Dalarna University!

This course is based in Falun with most of your lessons taking place online. Occasionally, recorded material will be offered via our learning platform with all digital meetings held via Zoom.

  • For new teacher program students: There will be a course introduction on Monday, 31st August, at 13.30 - 14.30 in room C319 on campus in Falun.  From 14.30 - 16.00 there will be information and practical activities focusing on language didactics (språkdidaktik), in room C319 on campus in Falun.
  • For students continuing the teacher program with studies in English as a second language: There will be a course introduction on Zoom, Thursday, 3rd September, at 11:30 am. Zoom link https://du-se.zoom.us/j/64731245123  
  • Introduction to general English I courses will be on Wednesday, 2nd September,  11 am, via Zoom https://du-se.zoom.us/my/samtal111

During this course you will study the following modules (delkurser):

    • Introduction to Academic English (GEN35D) - 6 credits
    • The Structure of Modern English (GEN2VF) - 9 credits
    • Literature In English - 9 credits 
    • Language Learning and Teaching (Språkdidaktik) - 6 credits
