Schedule
Note: There are three courses in the Chinese I course package (30hp). KI1046 Chinese in Speech and Writing I (15hp) is only one of them!
- In KI1046 Chinese in Speech I, there are four study groups. All groups cover the same teaching materials every week. Please select the group that best suits your schedule.
- Group Sign-up: To sign up for a group, please attend the first seminar of the group you intend to join.
- If you're unable to join your own group on a particular occasion, you're welcome to attend another group instead.

Tuesday 12:30-14:30
Group 2
Thursday 10:00-12:00
Group 3 and Group 4
Thursday 18.00-20.00 (Students signed up to this timeslot will be evenly divided into two groups.)

Registration
You are responsible for registering for each freestanding course/programme course that you have been admitted to before it begins. If you do not register on time, you may lose your place. Registration is online and opens two weeks before the course starts and closes on the Sunday the week before the course starts.

Are you ready to start learning with us?
This is a comprehensive language course and you are going to learn the Chinese language through intensive training of listening, speaking, reading, writing and intercultural communication!
This is a web-based course, all lectures and examinations are conducted in our virtual classroom on Zoom. Course administration and communications are managed via email and Canvas. You are not required to attend any on-campus classes or activities at Dalarna University.
If you are new to distance education, or you've never had experience with virtual (online) classrooms, please read the following information carefully before the course starts.
Learning mode and attendance
This course emphasizes on continuous assessments and attendance is mandatory. Students cannot pass the course without sufficient attendance. For KI1046 Chinese in Speech and Writing, attendance at a minimum of 12 out of 16 seminars is required. Meanwhile, they will have to hand in assignments each week.

All course materials are based on the 4th edition. However, the 3rd edition will work just fine.
