Course syllabus

Welcome to "The Swedish Education System" at Dalarna University

This course is intended for visiting foreign students and teaching will take place at Campus Falun. The course also includes field studies during three days at a preschool/school in Falun.

When you take this course, you will study Swedish preschool and school, both primary and secondary, their organisation and governance and the democratic mission in the Swedish school system.
 
I hope you will engage in inspiring, interesting, and challenging discussions with your teachers and fellow students. As with all courses at Dalarna University, this course has a strong foundation in theory and research.
An important feature in the design of the course is that it includes various meetings with lecturers from the university, students, both fellow students in the course and Swedish teacher students, as well as teachers at Swedish schools/preschools. 

Due to the broad scope of the course, it is impossible to go into depth on all topics, but I hope that what you learn will inspire interest and help you develop new insights. Click on the link below to get access to the schedule.
