Course syllabus
Welcome to "The Future of Human Rights: Sustainability and Contemporary Social Challenges" (7.5 credits, part-time), GRK2JK at Dalarna University!
Your course will be taught online (net-based) via Zoom using the following link: https://du-se.zoom.us/j/66451515694
The link is also published in the Module "Course Information".
The Course Introduction takes place Tuesday 31st March, 09.30-10.30. The Course Introduction will not be recorded, but the PowerPoint from the Course Introduction will be published afterwards (in the Module "Course Information".
The course consists of Lectures and 3 Seminars. The lectures are pre-recorded and posted in the course room according to the schedule.
Before each seminar you are required to submit an assignment in the designated folder on the Course website. The course concludes with a Final Paper with deadline 7 June.
The full schedule can be found here: 2026 Schedule GRK2JK.docx It is also published in the Module "Course Information".
The first seminar takes place Friday 17th April. Under “Persons” you may sign up for Seminar group 1 or 2 for this seminar. In the Schedule you can see the seminar times for the respective group. Since the seminar groups must be even in size, I have limited the number of members. If you do not have any preference regarding the seminar times, please choose the group with the least members.
Active participation in the Seminars is mandatory as it is considered part of the learning process as well as part of the examination of the course.
If you have missed a seminar, you must contact the teacher for that seminar to get a compensation assignment. If at least three students miss the same seminar, the teacher might decide to give an extra seminar opportunity.
There will be an extra opportunity to submit the Final Paper (and compensation assignments for missed seminars) on Friday 21st August.
Remember to register during the registration period. See du.se/en/registration
If you have problems with registration, please contact support@du.se
