Welcome to Qualitative Methods at Dalarna University!

By the time a student reaches the final year of their degree, they should have amassed a certain degree of knowledge about their subject – in this case tourism. But often, the ‘how’ of this knowledge is the question that has not been answered.  This course looks specifically at qualitative methods to understand how qualitative research is designed, planned, implemented, analysed, and written up. The goal of the course is to provide students with a philosophical and practical grounding in qualitative methods that they can take and apply to pieces of independent research.  

We hope you engage in inspiring, interesting, and challenging discussions with your teachers and fellow students. As with all courses at Dalarna University, this course has a strong foundation in theory and research.
