Welcome to "Motor learning and control" at Dalarna University

Welcome to the course in motor learning and control for Climbing, Judo and Powerlifting coaches.

The course structure includes pre-recorded lectures as well att online lectures (live) that will be mixed with interactive, on-line workshop-based learning. You’ll engage with peers in both mixed-sport and sport-specific groups—sometimes to challenge your perspective, sometimes to go deep into sport-specific detail. As with all courses at Dalarna University, this course has a strong foundation in theory and research.

The assignments in the course are designed with the purpose of giving you, as a coach, the opportunity to expand your knowledge in the field of motor learning and control, as well as to critically reflect on methods for technique training that you intend to apply in your role as a coach. In the final exam you will design a practice plan for developing  technical skills and/or coordinative ability in your sport. Active engagement is essential—what you put in is what you’ll get out. If you are unable to attend the lectures workshops, we will record what is possible and post it here in Canvas - note that breakout room discussions aren't able to be recorded so it will be limited to the multi-sport discussions.
