Course syllabus
Welcome to "Social Science Methods III" at Dalarna University
The course runs from week 4 to week 13.
In the course, you will study the different types of comparative methods, and their main approach, assumptions, advantages and problems. The course also covers research design, statistical analyses and the way a method is chosen in relation to a research question. The course problematises the relation between the quantitative and qualitative methodological traditions, and looks at considerations relating to research ethics.
The course is entirely web-based but includes mandatory real-time online seminars. The language of instruction is English. Recorded material will be made available on this learning platform, and Zoom will be used for digital meetings.
