Course Information 

The course handbook, as well as the course schedule is posted under "Modules" in this course room. Please read the course handbook and be prepared for the start of the course.

Course Book

You need to prepare the course book: Integrated Chinese 2 (4th ed.) before course starts. Detailed information of the course book could be found under "Announcements". 

Study Format

Chinese in Speech and Writing II will be taught online (net-based) in a virtual classroom (Zoom). It is an online course comprised of regular compulsory online lectures. You need to have well-functioning internet and computer equipment (headset and webcam). 

It is a 15 credits course and demands you to spend about 20 hours per week on your study. You are expected to be sufficiently prepared before the online lectures and be active in-class.

Schedule & Zoom classroom

This course will be given on Tuesdays in two study sessions. A morning session between 10 - 12 (for students who have applied for one of the daytime teaching sessions: V3L65, V3L5J, V3L6M) and an evening session between 18 - 20 (for students who have applied for one of the evening teaching sessions: V3L66, V3L5M). Please check your application code and come to the study session accordingly.

All our lectures will be held in the Zoom class room: https://du-se.zoom.us/s/67705185106. Please install Zoom on your computer before the 1st lecture, and join the online lectures by using Zoom application on your preferred device.

Be Ready to Start Your Studies

Throughout your studies, you will use Canvas, which is the name of this learning platform. If you applied for the package course, Chinese II, you should notice that the package is composed of three courses, and every course has its own course room. In each room, you will find teaching material and other information about that specific course. 

After you register to this course, you will have full access to our learning platform Canvas.

Start of the Course

The course will start in week 4 and end in week 23. We recommend that you read the information about the useful study tools at Studieverktyg (Study tools) to find out more about your upcoming studies.

Registration

You will need to register for the course around week 2-3. To do so, please log in to "Ladok ( www.student.ladok.se )". After week 3, you need to contact the student administrator to do the registration (support@du.se). If you are a new student at Högskolan Dalarna, you will receive your log-in information at the latest one week before the course starts. To finish online registration, you need to create a student account. Please visit the following web page to create a student account: https://id.du.se/.
