Welcome to Project-based System Development at Dalarna University
Welcome to the Project-based system development course. It is intended primarily for students taking the Bachelor’s Programme in Information systems.
When you take this course, you will study the following:
- How to work in a project
- How to apply your previous knowledge in a project-based context
- Work in a project over a longer period of time
- and refresh and how to apply your knowledge in system development (that you have acquired during previous courses).
After course completion, you will be able to:
- Plan, analyze, design, implement, and test an IT system during development
- Select and adapt a system development model for this IT system
- Select and use programming frameworks, and third-party API's and services when implementing an IT system
- Document and present a developed IT system

Most of the sessions in this course will be held at Campus Borlänge. However, please note that this is not a traditional course in the sense that you have lectures and labs. Your will have the introduction lecture and early on in the course you will start working within your project group.
You will have weekly supervision with the teachers of the course, this can be both on campus or, if necessary, on Zoom.
