Is it OK if I am reading this on my smartphone?

No. Please do not access Canvas through a smartphone. It is possible, but it is not convenient, and it can make things confusing and difficult. Always use your laptop/desktop to access Canvas, Zoom or any other online learning tools. More generally, you should not do any of your course work on a smartphone. Use your laptop/desktop instead.

How many Canvas rooms do I need to have access to?

Four (4), including this one. English 1 consists of three courses:

Introduction to Academic English (6 credits)

Literature in English (12 credits)

The Structure of Modern English (12 credits)

All three courses start during week 36. All three run parallel to each other throughout the term. Each course has its own Canvas room. To find the timetables and other information, please go to those rooms.

To learn more about how English 1 works, please attend the English 1 introduction on 4 September.

When is the English 1 introduction?

The introduction to English 1 is on 4 September, 13.00-14.00.

The room is E151, Falun campus.

What else do I need to do on 4 September?

Attend the compulsory lecture on plagiarism at 16.00-17.00. It will take place in the same room: E151.
