We would like to welcome our "old" judo coaching students back as well as giving our new judo coach students a warm welcome and congratulating you for choosing Dalarna University.

Recorded material be made available on our learning platform here on Canvas.
An introductory lesson will be held on Tuesday September 3rd from 15 - 17 hours where we hope to be able to help you sort out any questions.
Judo Coaching is part of Course package # 1 for Judo Coaches (in total 4 courses adding up to 15 credits during the fall of 2024) and it's offered at a 50% pace. Please remember that you will have to register for each new course coming up in the course package as well as apply again next term for course package #2.
In this introductory course we aim at introducing you to different coaching philosophies and will give you the opportunity to reflect on your own coaching.
Your assignment will be writing an essay on your coaching philosophy.
We hope you engage in inspiring, interesting, and challenging discussions with your teachers and fellow students. As with all courses at Dalarna University, this course has a strong foundation in theory and research. But another very important feature in the design of the course is that it connects theory with practice.
We view group work as an important resource in all course activities, made evident by the feedback of previous participants of the course, who highlighted the value of group discussions. Due to the broad scope of the course, it is impossible to go into depth on all topics, but we hope that what you learn will inspire interest and you develop the tools you need in your continued professional development as a judo coach.
Here you can find a preliminary schedule for the course (Schedule Coaching Judo, Powerlifting and Climbing 2hp_Fall2024.xlse).
