Welcome to Electrical Power Engineering in autumn semester 2024

Hello and welcome to the course Electrical Power Engineering (course code GEG39Y) in the autumn semester 2024. 

The course is given as part of the University Engineering Program for Sustainable Energy Systems and as an independent course. The course is also given both as a campus course and as a distance course. This means that you can take part in all lectures and lessons (with exercises) both on site on the new campus in Borlänge and online. Lectures and lessons are also recorded so you can see the recorded lectures or lessons later. The recordings will be found together with the displayed material here in Canvas under Modules.

The course which you are about to take has been thoroughly revised and is given in the new status for the first time. We are a team in our department, which has been cooperating with a team of Engineers at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika to develop what we think is an up-to-date course, which presents the needed theoretical concepts, but also contains exercises, labs and simulation programs to make your knowledge in the field prepared for engineering work. You will meet no less than five coworkers from Hitachi Energy contributing to the course this year, beside me and Désirée Kroner.

All course activities will have English as working language.
