Welcome to "Resources and Products for Tourism" at Dalarna University
The course “Resources and Products for Tourism” aims to provide an overview of the relationship between tourism resources, tourism products, and tourism businesses. It is a campus-based course that runs at a 50% rate over ten weeks. In the course, we will adopt the perspective of a small-scale tourism operator and, using business development tools, produce a business analysis and tourism product development plan.
The course comprises lectures, seminars and a two-step group assignment – see more details in the Course Handbook.
To complete the course, students must:
- Actively participate in all seminars.
- Gain a passing grade on all the seminar assignments.
- Gain a passing grade in their course assignment.
We hope you engage in inspiring, interesting, and challenging discussions with your teachers and fellow students. As with all courses at Dalarna University, this course has a strong foundation in theory and research.
An essential feature of the course design is connecting theory with practice.
